What is the shot content?
Not yet measured on the finished stream. The wash and de-shotting loop is designed to reduce it, but until it is measured per lot we will not publish a number. Ask for the current lot data before you plan around a figure.
Washed, dried, de-shotted loose mineral fiber, spun from the same melt as stone wool insulation.
Discuss a material
Mineral fiber of this general type is used in the processes below. Every one of them qualifies a fiber supplier against its own specification, and this fiber has not been through any such qualification.
This material carries handling considerations that the coarse materials do not, and they are stated here rather than left to the safety data sheet alone.

Unknown, and we would rather say so. A loss-on-ignition test answers it and is scheduled. If your formulation requires a low loss on ignition, wait for that result before spending time on a sample.
It is a loose mineral fiber and should be handled with dust control and appropriate protective equipment. The parent material was classified by IARC in 2002 as Group 3, not classifiable as to carcinogenicity in humans, and is not listed by the National Toxicology Program. A safety data sheet specific to this fiber is being written and we will not ship a sample without one.
