What this kind of material is used for
Fine amorphous aluminosilicate powders of this type are evaluated for the uses below. ASTM C1709 is the standard guide for evaluating an alternative supplementary cementitious material that is not yet qualified, and that is exactly where this material sits.

There is no technical support for a performance claim on this stream today. The honest offer is material for a trial, not a qualified product.
- No ASTM C618 or C1709 characterization: no strength activity index, no fineness, no loss on ignition, no SO3 and no available alkali.
- No particle size distribution measured to a standard method.
- Not a qualified supplementary cementitious material. Because the composition sits in the blast furnace slag family, ASTM C989 is the right comparison to draw, and it is a comparison of chemistry rather than a qualification.
- At roughly 4 tons a month, this stream cannot support a supply agreement of meaningful size.
