What this kind of material is used for

Fine mineral powders of this type are trialled as fillers and extenders. Every functional claim below belongs to the material class, not to this powder, which has not been characterised.

  • Mineral filler and extender trials in construction products
  • Filler evaluation in industrial coatings and compounds
  • Concrete and cementitious trial programs

Who buys it

  • Industrial filler and extender buyers
  • Specialty compounders running filler trials
  • Concrete and construction product manufacturers

Not established yet

This is the stream with the highest price expectation in the original plan and the least data behind it. The gap is stated rather than papered over.

  • No particle size distribution, surface area, oil absorption, brightness or pH.
  • No functional filler data. Anti-sag, thickening and reinforcement behaviour in a coating or polymer comes from particle shape and aspect ratio, which have not been measured on this powder.
  • No total metals assay on the collected solids. A baghouse concentrates fine particulate, and this stream has not been assayed on its own, so it must not enter any soil-contact, agricultural or consumer-packaged use until it has been.
  • Not a qualified supplementary cementitious material and not comparable to silica fume.
Questions buyers ask

About Mineral Microfiller

Can I use this in soil or fertilizer blends?

Not yet, and we will not sell it for that today. A baghouse concentrates the finest particulate in a process, and this stream has not been assayed as a solid for total metals. Until that assay exists, no soil-contact or agricultural use is supportable.

What is the particle size distribution?

Not measured. Under 50 micron is the collection point, not a measured distribution. If you need a distribution curve, that test is on the program and we will tell you when it lands.

Will it work as a functional filler?

Unknown. Functional behaviour in coatings and compounds depends on particle shape, aspect ratio, surface area and oil absorption, none of which has been measured here. What we can offer honestly is material for a trial.
